The 2026 U18 Boys’ and Girls’ National Championship has wrapped up after an action-packed few days at Preston Point, culminating in a thrilling boys’ grand final that saw South Australia edge out Victoria in overtime. In a contest that showcased the very best of junior lacrosse in the country, both sides traded momentum throughout the match before South Australia ultimately broke through to claim the title in dramatic fashion.
Across the tournament, the standard of competition was exceptional, with teams from across Australia bringing intensity, skill, and a high level of professionalism to every game. The event once again highlighted the strength and growth of junior lacrosse nationwide, with many players demonstrating their potential as future senior representatives.

East Fremantle Lacrosse Club was proudly represented by Charli-Rose, Tom, and Finn, who each competed with determination and consistency throughout the championship. Taking on some of the best young talent in the country, all three athletes showcased their work ethic and commitment, contributing strongly to their respective teams across multiple games in demanding conditions.
Beyond individual performances, the tournament has been widely regarded as a major success from a club perspective. Having multiple representatives on the national stage reflects the strength of East Fremantle’s development pathways and the continued progress of its junior program.
